BANKING:
Currency may be exchanged at currency exchange booths (Casa
de cambio). These are usually open in the morning around eight
oclock until the early evening around six oclock.
The rates are usually better here than at hotels, but may
be less than what you'll find in banks. The American Express
office is located in the Zona Rosa and is open weekdays from
9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Saturday 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Telephone:

CONSULAR:
The United States embassy is located at Paseo de la Reforma
305 at the corner of Rio Danubio. Telephone: (555) 211-0042

The Canadian embassy is located
at Schiller 529. Telephone: 5/254-3288. Your embassy can offer
advice on doctors, lawyers and other such services but cannot
get you out of jail, fly you home in case of monetary emergency
or offer any sort of banking service.
MEDICAL:
There are two hospitals recommended to English-speaking tourists.
One is the American-British Cow dray (A.B.C.) hospital. Telephone:
272-8500, or in case of emergency (555) 515-8359 or (555)
516-8077. Your second choice is the Hospital Angeles del Pedregal.
Telephone: (555) 652-1188 or (555) 652-0422.
POST
OFFICE: The citys main post office is
at the corner of Tacuba and avenida Lázaro Cardenas.
Your hotel should be able to handle getting postcards or letters
out, but should you need to mail a package, you'll likely
need to visit the post office.
